When Alan and Dan first played together nearly 35 years ago, Fagan was cutting his musical teeth in Nashville. Michelle and Alan joined forces in another group around 1980. All this experience and talent came together in 2001 to form Other Voices.
Through their careers Dan and Fagan have written hundreds of songs in all styles, sentiments, shapes and sizes. The Other Voices catalog continues to grow with their new songs as well as recent tunes penned by Michelle.
With a hallmark of intricate vocal harmonies and tight arrangements, they perform acoustic originals, select standards and obscure classics in the realm of pop, folk, blues and jazz with a refreshing variety that keeps audiences wanting more. They have described their music as "folk + roll," which once was misread and published for a festival performance as "folk troll" music. However you describe it, their music delights young and not-so-young and everywhere in between.
